Responsible for advanced functions within Gowan’s Customer Service and Distribution Team.
Supervise and coordinate sales and ensure compliance with government regulations.
Key resource for Gowan Sales professionals, external customer base and internal Supply Chain and Finance functions.
Demonstrates advanced problem solving and communication skills along with a very high level of attention to detail.
Serves as back up to other Customer Service Specialists.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Control all phases of GUSA order processing (Enter/Receive orders, print bills of lading & invoices).
Use Gowan’s ERP system “Enterprise One” for all company needed transactions.
Ensure appropriate documentation is created and maintain recordkeeping in compliance with US regulations.
Communicate with sales representatives on customer calls, product moves, etc.
Select suitable transportation carriers to deliver goods and work with 3rd party logistics providers.
Work closely with Production Planners and Demand Manager for accurate decision making.
Organize stock transfers once goods are produced for proper staging of inventory at distribution centers.
Perform monthly inventory reconciliation, manages damages and aging inventory for responsible warehouses.
Work with development on product complaints & replacements.
Track Product Managers' special programs including allocations.
Prepare reports, such as sales, forecast or others as requested.
Assist manager on maintain mailing list for recipients.
Provide support to other departmental needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, ERP System and other business software.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous urgent tasks.
Willingness to work with a wide range of people.
Highly organized, self-directed & motivated person.
Ability to perform some analytical logistics duties.
Positive attitude for learning and improving processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Applied Business Economics or Operations Management preferred.
Experience working with freight forwarders and transportation providers.
Second language would be of benefit.
Successful candidate will be asked to show proof that they can legally work in the US.
Physical Demands:
Able to work regular office hours 8am to 5pm or 6am to 3pm depending on daylight saving time, in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work longer time in a computer workstation.
Traveling infrequent, but will be required about twice a year for regional meetings and to audit warehouses.
