Job Summary This position is advertised from the minimum to the mid-point hourly rate.
Salary will be determined based on education and experience at the time of offer.

NATURE OF WORK Under close supervision, performs library work of routine difficulty in one of the divisions or branches of the library; this position has department specific responsibility; hours may vary (Monday – Saturday) depending on the needs of the Library District.
Example of Work (Illustrative Only) Assists with checking materials in and out; handles fees and fines; issues library cards to patrons; assists patrons with locating books and other materials or use of library equipment; answers questions and provide service for general reference questions to patrons; assists with the sorting, shelving, and filing of various library material; assists with organizing and conducting library activities; may promote library services to the local community; may be assigned to work in other library branches and divisions; regular and reliable attendance is required; performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND one (1) year of experience performing clerical duties; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; requires successful completion of a background check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of County policies and procedures; business English, spelling, and arithmetic; clerical and office practices and procedures; techniques of library operations.
Skill in using office machines, and automated systems; business English, spelling and arithmetic; providing effective customer-oriented service; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public; communicating verbally and in writing; following written instructions.
Ability to effectively respond to phone calls, emails and complaints in a timely manner; use modern office equipment and computers; communicate effectively verbally and written; lift up to 40 lbs.

Working Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
Generally the job requires 60% sitting, 20% walking and 20% standing.
Working at a computer monitor for extended periods required.
The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment and may have risk of exposure to communicable diseases.

Plan Option 3: High Deductible High Plan - Health Savings Account (HDHP-HSA) or HDHP-HSA with Wellness Incentive.
HDHP-HSA Wellness Incentive for Employee Only option can receives upto $240.
00 annual contribution to a Limited Purpose FSA card.
Southwest Service Administrator (SSA) Mexico PPO Health Plan: SSA is available to employees who are enrolled in YCEBT Medical PPO Plan.
The SSA Plan pays 100% of hospital, medical, laboratory and prescription drug benefits, to a maximum of $5,000 per person per calendar year ($10,000 for two or more family members).
