5th Grade Long Term Substitute

Harvest Preparatory Academy is a public charter school serving PreK-12.
HPA is dedicated to providing students a dynamic academic program of student centered instruction in a college preparatory setting.
We are currently accepting applications/resumes for the position of Long-term Substitute Teacher for a 5th Grade Classroom Teacher on our Yuma Campus.
DUTIES Prepare lesson plans and instruct students in accordance with established curriculum and student need.
Assess student needs and performance.
Develop, implement and evaluate daily lesson plans, to include scheduled activities and materials.
Uses and implement classroom management techniques to maintain organization, orderliness, student safety, and a productive learning environment.
Inform parents of student progress and school activities.
Participates as a member of an instructional team to promote learning activities for students, consistent with district and school education objectives.
Collaborate with specialists as needed to assist students.
May monitor the activities of a teacher assistant and classroom volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS: A valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card At least one year of experience working with elementary students A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Preferred) General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work cooperatively with all members of the staff and communicate effectively with parents.
At least one year of field experience (student teaching) or approved internship.
