*POSITION TITLE:* DIRECTOR OF HUMAN SERVICES *DEPARTMENT: *ADMINISTRATION *REPORTS TO:* PRESIDENT/CEO *GENERAL SUMMARY* The Director of Human Services is responsible for the overall planning, coordinating, supervision, direction and operation of Employment Services, Behavioral Health, and Housing Departments.
Working with the CEO and other management team members, the Director of Human Services ensures overall Agency compliance while performing special projects for services, utilization, program expansion, and analyses.
Working with the CEO, the Director of Human Services supports with development and execution of strategic plan, annual budget submission, and provides oversight for the for the daily operations of all Human Services departments.
*MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES*  Oversees duties and functions of supervisors/managers in the Behavioral Health, Housing, and Employment Services departments.
o Ensures that Human Services Managers, Supervisors, and staff receive annual performance evaluations, periodic reviews throughout the year as needed, and that each manager/supervisor completes a career development plan, all of which will be submitted to Human Resources, at a minimum, annually.
o Ensures that all policies and procedures and job descriptions that are pertinent to human services are updated to reflect any changes in policies, procedures, or job duties.
o Exhibits, increases, and promotes cultural sensitivity within the Agency along with cross-cultural feedback; ensure that all policies are reflective of contractual obligations will be reviewed with all management, at a minimum, annually.
 Oversees Agency compliance with all Human Services stakeholder contracts.
o Ensures that all staffing levels required by contract compliance are maintained, including: Arizona Department of Housing, Regulatory Behavioral Health Authority Contracts, Arizona Department of Economic Security – Division of Developmental Disabilities, Arizona Rehabilitation Services, and all ancillary contracts associated.
o Works with staff and management personnel to complete all necessary compliance reports and documentation for CARF accreditation and oversees that all requirements are maintainedand updated when necessary.
o Oversee licensure for all facilities performing Human Services.
 Attend all management trainings, meetings, and board meetings when requested.
 Budget and financial oversight o Provides feedback during the annual budget planning cycle and insures that expenses do not exceed budget revenues.
 Participates on behalf of Agency in community events, membership meetings, and community outreach efforts.
o Supports with business development activities for the growth/expansion of commercial business prospects that will create employment and employment training for clients served.
o Oversees business relationships/partnerships required for employment training opportunities and expansion; maintains stakeholder relationships with funding sources.
 Performs other duties as assigned by President/CEO *WORK ENVIRONMENT* A.
Supervision Direct supervision of Behavioral Health Department, Employment Services Department, and Housing Department.

Confidentiality This position is exposed to highly confidential client and Agency information.
C.
Mental Application and Responsibility This position involves high level of decision making and is responsible for setting policy and procedures.
Must use sound judgment, involving the President/COO and other Management Team members as appropriate.
D.
Internal and Public Contacts This position involves extensive interaction with peers, subordinates and supervisors, as well as high level interactions with community leaders, providers, the Arizona Department of Economic Security, federal government personnel, stakeholders and others.
E.
Conditions and Equipment Working conditions will include and administrative office environment and travel to various other office setting.
Equipment operation will include general office equipment, computers, and communication tools.
*ABILITIES* A.
Language (Communication) Must be able to communicate clearly and effective orally and in writing; possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
B.
Reasoning Strong analytical skills and ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
C.
Other Ability to follow oral or written directions, functions effectively under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines; possess strong organization skills with an emphasis on detail.
*QUALIFICATIONS* A.
Education Master’s, or a higher degree, in a behavioral health related field (social work, counseling, psychology, etc.
) Independently licensed as a Behavioral Health Professional with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners required (LPC, LCSW, LISAC or LMFT).
B.
Experience Requires ten (10) years of progressive responsibilities and experience in Behavioral Health/ Psychology.
Five (5) years working with individuals with disabilities (DD/ID population) – preferred.
Five (5) years working in Vocational Rehabilitation – preferred.
Experience providing services with substance abuse and homeless population – preferred C.
Other Must be over 21 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Must be able to obtain valid certifications for Agency compliance within 90-days of employment.
Pass background check inclusive of Excluded Provider List System (EPLS) and the Health and Human Services (HHS) List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $75,000.
