Job Description: A Behavior Support Technician has to work in various settings, such as schools, homes, or community organizations, to assist individuals with behavioral challenges.
The primary goal of a Behavior Support Technician is to implement strategies and interventions that promote positive behavior and improve the overall quality of life for individuals with behavioral issues.
```Duties:```
-Travel to client’s homes/community settings, as required to deliver services
-Provide in-home services
- Implement behavior support plans with a focus on positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies.
-Collect and analyze data related to individual behavior, progress, and the effectiveness of interventions.
-Make data-driven decisions to adjust and refine behavior support plans as needed.
- Provide direct support to individuals,
- Provide training to parents, caregivers, and other professionals on effective behavior management techniques.
- Offer support and guidance to individuals to build their skills and capacity in managing challenging behaviors.
Modeling appropriate behaviors and reinforcing positive actions.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists and social workers, to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in emergency situations
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral disorders and coping strategies
```Requirements:```
-21 or older
-Fingerprint clearance card
- Certification or licensure as a behavioral specialist or therapist (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred
Schedule:
-After school
-Evening shift
-Monday to Friday
-No weekends
